The wicked crew at the sold out Splendour in the Grass festival have solved the age-old question of how to turn trash into treasure.
As part of the festival’s green initiatives they’re offering a bounty of one $3 drink ticket for every 5 empty drink cans that are brought in to one of the many recycling stations at the event. That means that when punters return 10 empty drink containers they get their next beer on the house!
Aside from the immediate benefit to opportunist festival-goers, the Splendour team are looking to save 4 tonnes of waste from ending up in landfill from this year’s show….. bless em!
So if you were lucky enough to snaffle tickets to this year’s event then keep your eyes to the ground for this precious aluminium payload… but be sure your eyes are up for the likes of these guys too…
